About Law Office of Diana Moragon
I opened my first office in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1998.   I had just graduated from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey and had just moved to Connecticut.    I began my career as a criminal defense attorney.    There was a great need for Hispanic attorneys in Bridgeport and I was able to help many people who could not get a proper defense because of their language barrier.   It was a great experience and a great way to begin my career.

I moved to Tampa in 2001 and opened my office right away.   I wanted more trial experience in order to better serve my clients so I decided to take a position at the State Attorney's Office in Hillsborough County.   Spending every day inside a court room helped me become a better lawyer and gave  me the ability to take any case to trial.   It was the best experience of my career.

After I left the State Attorney's Office, I opened my own office and began to work hard to help my community, specially the Hispanic population which sadly needs people to care for them and represent them properly.   I love my career, and I am proud to say that I honestly care more about my clients than I do about myself.   Every decision that I make is to benefit my clients.  My interests are always second to those of my clients; I truly work for the client, not for me.

I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and came to this country at the age of 18 on my own. I had two dreams: to sing for a living and to go to school. After arriving in New York City, I soon realized that working was a priority since nobody would pay my bills. I worked every job imaginable, including working at a factory in Queens, New York, building submarines for Electric Boat in Groton, CT, driving a taxi, driving a truck delivering plumbing materials, and in many, many other places. The whole time that I worked those jobs I knew that my goal was to sing and study, but it was very difficult to get to that point since life kept getting in the way, and bills were still piling up and had to be paid. In 1988, I had a very bad experience that taught me that life is very, very short and I learned that if you want to do something, you have to just do it, and do it right away. I went back to Puerto Rico for about 4 months and then I came back to the United States and did what I came to do. I got into school at the University of Rhode Island and began singing for a living around Rhode Island and Connecticut. I became a teacher while I sang in different places around where I lived. I moved to New Jersey and taught at Teaneck High School. Working with High School students was an extraordinary experience, but I wanted to do more. I felt that I could help people more if I changed my career. I left teaching after two years and applied to Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey, and that was the best decision of my life. I love being a lawyer because I genuinely care about justice and people's struggles; I have been through many myself and can relate to most of the people I represent. My life experience has made me what I am, and has given me a perspective that not too many people have. There are not too many stories that I cannot relate to, which allows me to understand my clients in a very different way. If you want me to represent you, call my office. I will never lie to you or give you false expectations. I do not guarantee results, but I guarantee that I will do everything in my power so that you get the justice that you deserve. I will fight to the end, and will represent you with everything that I have. I will listen to you and will always do what is best for you. Your interest will always come before mine; that I can absolutely guarantee.
